You will have the opportunity to practice conflict management strategies in this interactive workshop so you will feel prepared to implement these strategies within your organization or workplace. We recommend joining us for the live event to take part in small group role play to practice conflict management techniques using case scenario examples. Meet our Speaker:
Mariel Hendricks Mariel graduated from Purdue’s Veterinary Technology Program in 2010 and worked for 12 years in small animal specialty surgery as a surgical assistant and anesthetist. Mariel established herself as a strong leader within her surgical team, and continued her leadership duties in both state and national leadership capacities, volunteering as a board member with the Indiana Veterinary Technician Association, Central Indiana Veterinary Medical Association, Association of Veterinary Technician Educators, and NAVTA. Guided by mentors locally and nationally, she also obtained her master’s degree in Veterinary Education through Lincoln Memorial University and became an AVTE Fellow in 2024. Mariel currently works at MentorVet as the Director of Learning and Development, building research-based educational content focused on veterinary mental health and well-being. In her free time, she volunteers for her county’s 4-H program, as she loves focusing on the future of veterinary medicine personally and professionally.
