The Advocacy Center includes all the latest news effecting RVTs, such as:

• HB24-1047: Known as the Vet Tech Scope of Practice, this bill directs the State Board of Veterinary Medicine to create rules on specific, delegable tasks for RVTs, VTSs, and other personnel. Speaking of VTSs, this bill creates a first of its kind designation program to recognize and differentiate RVTs who have achieved this advanced certification! 
• Initiative 145 which proposes establishing qualifications and registration for a veterinary professional associate. CACVT is opposing this measure and instead encourages the veterinary profession to focus its efforts on implementing the Vet Tech Scope of Practice and ensuring robust utilization of all veterinary professionals.
