Credentialing Council Member

The Credentialing Council independently governs the credentialing programs of CACVT. The Council is solely responsible for all decisions relevant to the core aspects of CACVT’s credentialing programs, as well as the oversight of committees and task forces related to credentialing.  

General Responsibilities of the Council

  • Set eligibility requirements for initial credentialing based on statute
  • Ensure renewal eligibility requirements meet the needs of the profession and reflect current trends in the industry
  • Provide advice, counsel, and new ideas for credentialing and renewal processes
  • Review credential/renewal applications periodically
  • Create and follow policies and procedures for the appointment of credentialing-related committee members, task forces, and advisory panels.

Qualifications

  • Good verbal communication skills and professional demeanor
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently, with good problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills required

Schedule/Time Commitment

2 year commitment (renewable) at 1–4 hours per month.
